Artwork Description:
This painting is the one portrait of a series of African Queens representing post-Fayum, quite Picasso-esque but unmistakable by Chiao's portrait of African beauty. To make painting more distinct the artist uses triangular canvas and affixes to each of the corners of the painting with geometric shapes of triangle, square, and pentagon.
