This female portrait tries to deal with the idea of the cubist treatment of reality, further than it was explored by the original cubist masters. A woman with a perversely invented face combines the modernism of her portrait with the classical, Bronzino-like position of her hands. Woman appears to be young and beautiful despite transformations of her face done by Chiao in quite a Picassoesque manner.
